Full Circle believes one of the best ways to benefit Lake County is to extend our programming to families through parenting support and classes/workshops. Evidence-based curriculums in both English & Spanish are given to help increase positive and healthy family relationships and decrease stress and risk factors.

Classes give opportunities to Discuss & Learn about:

  • Sharing
  • Cooperation
  • Decision-Making
  • Culture
  • Respect
  • Self-Esteem
  • Communication
  • Anger-Management
  • Discipline
  • Stress

Karla has lived in Colorado for 22 years and had been on staff with Full Circle since 2015. She arrived in Leadville in December of 1994 from Santa Barbara Chihuahua, Mexico, also a small mining town like Leadville. Karla graduated from High School in Leadville in 2000.

During her last year of high school, Karla was part of Full Circle’s peer counselors group, which gave her a sense of hope and inclusiveness. Being a part of Full Circle gave Karla opportunities that she would not have previously had.

After briefly living in Summit County, Karla moved back to Leadville for the tight-knit community feel. Being bilingual, Karla is invaluable in our ability to communicate with Lake County’s Latino communities. Karla has three beautiful daughters: Mariana, Maya, and Monique (10, 8, 3).
