Congratulations on your race finishes, Team FC!
Due to a muscle injury, Dan was unable to compete, but was able to support the team and the race by volunteering at an aid station. Friend of Full Circle, Erin Drasler, joined Team FC just days before the race and seven runners finished their 28 mile race! Full Circle of Lake County and all eight Team FC athletes want to say a huge “THANK YOU!” to all those who donated in their honor!
Together, Team FC members raised over $12,500 for Full Circle’s capital campaign. You can still make donations celebrating their finishes–now, with a dollar-to-dollar match thanks to Life Time!”
MEET THE TEAM
Taryn has been running since age 8 when she used to destroy the local competition in the Los Alamitos neighborhood 5k. She ran her first off-the-couch marathon with her mom in 2008 and then a trail 50k in 2016. Since moving to Leadville in 2017, she has been surrounded by casual ultra-marathoners who make her feel like anyone can run 100 miles and that this is what she should be doing in her spare time as well.
Taryn enjoys giving her stimulus checks to Full Circle and has a special family connection in that her sister, Lauren, is an employee of Full Circle as well. Taryn treasures the community connection and support that Full Circle brings to Lake County and can’t wait for the new community building to be a bustling hub of Leadville families as well as host her monthly Breastfeeding Support Group meetings.

Jenny has been trying this running thing since about 2018, and while she has completed a couple of road marathons, the Spirit Trail marathon will be her first marathon on trail.
Jenny is proud to have been a Full Circle staff member since 2016, and she is truly excited for Full Circle to turn a former bar/brewery into a community hub where Full Circle can operate youth and family programs as well as support community members in accessing all the amazing resources and opportunities in Leadville/Lake County!

This will be Ray’s third marathon and second Full Circle marathon fundraiser. He is aiming to beat his 2017 fundraising record when he teamed up with his old friend Mike Murchison (pictured on the left) to raise $3,141.
Ray sits on the board of Full Circle where he currently serves as board president. He has served on the board since 2016 and before that volunteered through Full Circle as a youth mentor for a local 6th grader. The organization is dear to his heart.

Dan has been running for most of his life. Although he started out on the track, he spends most of his time these days on the trail, running with friends. He’s excited to pull on a Full Circle tank top in support of a vital local resource for our community that provides important youth and family programming

Josh loves exploring in the Arkansas Valley, by foot, ski or bicycle. The Spirit trail marathon is a new race that he is excited to check out. Josh works for Full Circle as a Social and Emotional Coordinator.

Abby spends way too much of her free time running, talking about running or planning her next big run. Since she’s not getting any faster these days, she’s running further instead and is currently training for her first 200 miler.
Abby is proud of all the work her friends at Full Circle are doing to turn her previous favorite watering hole into an inclusive community center for Leadville and Lake County.

The Arkansas Valley’s endless trails and dirt roads hooked Rachel on long distance running after she moved to Leadville in 2017. The Spirit Trail Marathon will be her second trail marathon and she looks forward to racing on Buena Vista’s sagebrush-lined singletrack.
Rachel sees the impact Full Circle has on Lake County’s families and youth through her work as the managing editor of the Herald Democrat. And she can’t think of a better use for a former brewery building than the creation of a family and youth resource center!
